IPNI has announced the winners of the 2011 Crop Nutrient Deficiency Photo Contest. This year’s group of entrants was indeed global in scope and our judges were provided with a very diverse collection to evaluate.

IPNI has named Dr. M. J. McLaughlin as the winner of the 2011 IPNI Science Award. Dr. McLaughlin is Foundation Director, University of Adelaide Fertiliser Technology Research Centre.

20 winners of each US$2,000 IPNI Scholar Award have been selected, the recipients being graduate students enrolled in science programs relevant to plant nutrition and management of crop nutrients.

New officers of the Board of Directors of the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) were elected May 22, 2011. The IPNI Board meeting took place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in conjunction with the 79th Annual Conference of the International Fertilizer Industry Association.

Each year, the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) offers the Scholar Award to honor and encourage deserving graduate students, and also the IPNI Science Award to recognize and promote distinguished contributions by scientists.
